Interim Management
One of Ergonomy’s clients is a leading IT vendor and a high volume manufacturer of PCs. In autumn 2004, one of the key members of their marketing team, the marcoms manager, left to pursue a new opportunity outside the company. Our client was experiencing real difficulty in finding a candidate with the right attributes to replace her, and thus faced the likelihood of being without a marcoms manager for up to two months; this during a period of relatively intense advertising and promotional activity.

In order to avoid this, our client’s marketing director called in Ergonomy to cover the resource shortfall. Ergonomy were well suited to the task, possessing the right skills, and knowledge of our client’s systems and methods.

Our client commented later that, although there was hardly any time at all to hand over the reins to Ergonomy, he'd had a number of comments from other parts of the company saying how well managed the transition was – they simply saw no change in the level of activity and responsiveness on the marketing communications side. As a result, what could have been a difficult period passed very smoothly.
